Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions

Receipt of these terms or written acceptance by the Company of the customer’s order and deposit shall be deemed to constitute unqualified acceptance of these conditions

Pricing & Quotes

All quotes are agreed in writing once the Client has finalised their chosen menu. A 10% deposit will be required to secure the chosen event date. The deposit will be deducted from the total event cost. This deposit is non-refundable if the Client cancels the booking.

If a booking is made less than three (3) days before the event than the Client must pay 100% of the final cost quoted.

Payment can be made by BACS or Cheque and is required 7 days prior to the event. A&J Caterers have the right to cancel the Clients booking if full payment is not received within the required time.

If payment is made by cash upon delivery, then A&J Caterers have the right to withhold the goods if payment cannot be made in full.

If the Client decides to query the final payment, then this must be put in writing no later than 2 weeks prior to the event.

Additional Staffing Charges – If staff are attending a function, then they must be paid for a minimum of four (4) hours work. If they are required to stay later, than the Client will be responsible for paying an agreed hourly rate.

Delivery

Delivery is free within a 10-mile radius. Charges exceeding a 10 mile radius will incur a fee. 

Cancellation

In an unfortunate situation that the Client cancels the event written notification is required in writing. The following cancellation charges will apply:

14 days prior to the event – 50% of the cost to be paid.

5 days prior to the event – 100% of the cost to be paid.

Allergies and Dietary Requirement:

A&J Caterers can offer alternative menus for any dietary requirements notified within up to 3 days of an event. If we are advised of any allergies, we will ensure that these ingredients are not used in the food provided. Whilst every step may be taken, we cannot guarantee products are free from allergens, owing to possible cross-contamination.

Food Safety

A&J Caterers following strict Health & Safety guidelines. The following must be applied at all times:

Chilled Food – Can be left at room temperature for a maximum of 4 hours from the time of delivery.

Hot Food – Can be left at room temperature for a maximum of 2 hours from the time of delivery.

It is the responsibility of the Client to dispose of the food after this time. A&J Caterers will not be held accountable for the safety and quality of any food supplied by the client or any other organisation. 

10. Our liability

We will not be liable where performance of any of our obligations is prevented or restricted by any situation or cause beyond our reasonable control.

A&J Caterers will not be held responsible for the theft, lost or damage to any personal

belongings of the Client or gifts brought onto premises by the Client guests.

The Client shall at all times compensate A&J Caterers and employees in respect of any liability, claim or proceeding arising in respect of personal injury to or the death of any person or arising in respect of any loss, damage or loss of use of property in any way relating to the function or relating to persons attending the function except to the extent of contribution of any negligent act or omission of A&J Caterers. Liability shall be limited to the price which has been invoiced in respect of that particular event.
